Under Construction Studio was the first step of NOTUS Architects, introducing the practice’s existence into architecture and design.
The practice was founded in 2014 as an architecture and design studio based in Thessaloniki.
Under Construction was a name that was chosen because of its close proximity to architecture and engineering. Therefore, the logo that would come along with the practice, it would be an element that would imply stability and constructive meaning. Instinctively, cube is an element that incorporates all the above characteristics. Along with the firm’s initials, U and C, a three dimensional cube was designed incorporating the firm’s principles as solidity and firmness.
Black and white was chosen for the branding colors to denote formality and elegance.
