Eclectic Apartment in the center of Thessaloniki.

The project is about the interior design of an apartment of 120 sqm in the historic center Thessaloniki.

The apartment is situated in a remarkable, listed apartment building in a prominent position, with modernist elements of the interwar period. The facades are simply arranged, without decorative elements, with the continuous repetition of vertical axes dominated by extrusions with balconies and the central glazing on the axis behind the main entrance of the building. The building is characterised by repeatability of the floor, clean geometric shapes, Art Deco innovative interior grilles and a remarkable interior space of the stairway, with elaborate two-leaf wooden doors, decorative tiles on the floors, wooden cladding in the apron of the staircase windows and embossed plaster decorative elements on walls and ceilings . It is located in the wider environment of other remarkable buildings in the area. 

 

Το έργο αφορά στον εσωτερικό σχεδιασμό ενός διαμερίσματος 120 τμ στο ιστορικό κέντρο της Θεσσαλονίκης.

Το διαμέρισμα βρίσκεται σε ένα αξιόλογο, διατηρητέο κτίριο σε περίοπτη θέση, με στοιχεία μοντερνισμού της εποχής του μεσοπολέμου. Οι όψεις του κτιρίου είναι λιτά οργανωμένες, χωρίς διάθεση διακοσμητικών στοιχείων, με τη συνεχή επανάληψη κατακόρυφων αξόνων, στις οποίες κυριαρχούν εξωστόθυρες με εξώστες και το κεντρικό υαλοστάσιο στον άξονα πίσω από την κύρια είσοδο του κτηρίου. Το κτίριο χαρακτηρίζεται από επαναληπτικότητα του ορόφου, καθαρές γεωμετρικές φόρμες, κιγκλιδώματα νεωτεριστικής διάθεσης επιρροών Art Deco και τον αξιόλογο εσωτερικό χώρο του κλιμακοστασίου, με περίτεχνες δίφυλλες ξύλινες πόρτες, διακοσμητικά πλακίδια στα δάπεδα, ξύλινες επενδύσεις στην ποδιά των παραθύρων του κλιμακοστασίου και ανάγλυφα γύψινα διακοσμητικά στοιχεία σε τοίχους και οροφές. Βρίσκεται στο ευρύτερο περιβάλλον άλλων αξιόλογων κτηρίων στην περιοχή.
